Hi everyone. Just bought a 82 GMC Sierra Classic tonight.(From the original owner!)

Very well maintained truck with lots of new stuff, one being tires. However they are too small at 235/75/15. As much as I like the looks of a 3-4" lift on these, I'm going to leave it at factory height.

With that said, I've read through the posts and haven't seen much info for one that's not lifted. Seems like one thread said 31x10.50 and I saw one hit for 32x11.50's.

Just want to see what I can run without scrubbing and still have enough wheel well to look right.

I will be installing on factory rallys.

Thanks!

33x12.5's fit stock, but it's very close.

You must be registered for see images attach

If you want a little more room in there, stick with a 32".

as everyone is saying 32 with no issues, 33 will fit but will lightly rub when flexing a little bit and turning

might I suggest checking to see what gear ratios you have before you buy anything. If you have high gears like 307's i woul.d stick with a 30 or 31" tire

Is that usually stamped on the axle, or do you have to remove diff cover and calculate?

usually there will be a little tag that is bolted on with 1 of the cover bolts

I always thought it was 235/75-15 for the 80's turcks? That's what my door panel says and that's what friends of mine had on thiers when they bought them new back then, Tiger Paws and Laredo's.

That's what I run, despite the dumb azz at Walmart saying that he couldn't install them because THEIR database only shows 225s.

That's what I plan on getting, the PO had 31"rs on it. I want the factory size and see what a difference there is towing and stopping with this 2000 LB boat on the back.

My Blazer with the 33's only has crap 3.08 gears (for now), it does OK. It's not a tire burner, but it gets moving fairly quick (well, it did) and got decent mileage on the highway.

when i bought my current truck it had 235 on it, i put 33s on and now have 31s on it at this time, i only have a 308 gears, when i wear these out i am going back to the 33s, truck rides so much better with the bigger tore asorbing the road bumps, not much differance in power or braking,

My FoBuhFo has 31x10.50's and I Intend to go 33x10.50 when they wear out. Running 3.73 gear and going to be a Th350 for awhile. I don't want the wider 12.50 tire to be more mass to turn and eat up more fuel mileage.
