Tailgate trim Replacement

I have 83 C10 and the tailgate trim is missing and I would like to replace with original or a Aftermarket trim, Have anyone ever found aftermarket trim panels or louvers for sale

Oh boy - they are getting hard to find - new.

And if one of the online vendors gets any, they want a fortune. Last month or so I saw Classic Industries (or one of the other Classics) had them - $649. JUST the band - not even any letters.

Best bet is to hit the auctions - some real nice ones come up on ebay fairly often and the winning bids don't even come close to $650.


BTW to help you in your search; the brushed aluminum trim piece that you seek - the one that goes from edge to edge of the tailgate (and mounts into the recess) is most commonly called a tailgate band. Another term used is the "tailgate fill(er) piece".
