Even when my HU is turned all the way down, my sub thumps really small(you can still hear it in the car, BTW-this is my car, not the truck) And even with my music all the way up, my sub doesnt respond but yet it just thumps. That was with the 2 channels bridged. Well i unhooked 1 lead and ran it to 1 channel only this time, i felt the cone move to the music but it wasnt THAT hard hitting, it was actually softer then my speakers.
Amp is 100watt

Sub is DVC 125rms/250max

Yes i know i was underpowring it.....

And atm the sub/box/amp is tore apart, i just tore it apart tonight since i noticed it.

Recently it was like it wasnt hitting hard, but i never really checked it to see.......

Befor it actually hit pretty hard with 100watt paralelled

Are you running adequate gauge wires? What ohm is the sub? 100 watts isn't a lot when it comes to subs, especially if the sub is of a higher impedance, such as 16 ohms. Even with 8 ohms, 100 watts isn't going to pound much. Is this a head unit or separate amplifier? Also what make/model of speaker would be a bit helpful.

If it is a head unit only amplification, try to dial it in so that the sub channel gets more power.

I got to thinking and the sub is getting enough watts, cause 2 channel bridged is 150watts, and running the voice coils parallel is 150watts to each coil=300watts total.

Its an older amp.
LA Sound 100
Specs:
50x2 @ 4ohms
75x2 @ 2ohms
150x1 4ohm

Sub is a PowerBass 12"
PB-124D
125rms/250max at 4ohm.

Wire is either 10 or 8ga.

It was hitting pretty hard but stopped some time recently, cause ive been hearing this thumping sound for awile.

And the sub does not smell hot or anything.

Looking at diagrams, it looks like my setup was running the amp at 2ohm when the 2 channels were bridged and paralleled.

So 150x1 @ 2ohm? is that why it stopped, is cause the amp wasnt stable?

Amp was rated for 150x1 @ 4ohm

I'm not sure, does the amp have a fuse?
