That's weatherstrip adhesive, rather than rubber cement. I've known lots of guys that use it to hold gaskets in place during an install. I've done that several times myself. A little bit goes a long way.

To be fair, it says right on that tube that it's also for gaskets.

I can see using it for holding gaskets, it would be similar to the copper coat spray or brush-on, which I do use the copper coat for holding gaskets in place.

3m weatherstrip adhesive works awesome on gaskets. But it is a Biiitch to remove.

I ended up using the weather stripping adhesive again. I also ran across some arp intake bolts in the shop.

Had the shop running bout 70 degrees for about 6 hours today. Warmed up the intake in front of the heater for a bit. Running the heater that long may have cost me $50 in kerosene but that intake should be sorted.

Let the ultra black set up for 30-40min before torquing. Did it in 4 stages.

Because I used a swivel socket on the intake bolts, I added 3-4ft lbs to the final pass.

Pleased with how it went together.

As long as you got enough ultra black on the back like it appears you did on the front, the seal should be good to go.

We called it dragon snot,and it was the best stuff going until gm came out with GMS. Then the aftermarket followed with ultra Grey and ultra black etc. My go to was 3m now it's ultra grey. Damnit @bucket types 20 seconds faster than me.

Got the distributor installed and cleaned up the shop a bit. Picked up the fluids and filter. Tomorrow should be go time…
