I recently had to replace my ignition on my 79 C10, I'm having problems getting the spring plate back on, it is getting hung up in the gap where the retaining clip goes, any hopeful suggestions, thanks

I've had this happen and other than working it back and forth a few times I can't think of anything specific to suggest. Are you using an tool for installation?
