If you really want to see a lot of Squarebodys at a car show, you need to look up Dino's Git Down in Phoenix. Probably over 1000 squarebody trucks every year.

I take mine often, so I have surprisingly few photos.

Here's a couple. This is a show at the GM Tech Center in Warren, Michigan. It was supposed to rain so I took the red truck:

I had butt prints up and down both sides of my truck from people looking at that Lotus 7 on one side and an original owner '58 Chevy on the other.


And, as if on cue, the rains came at the end of the day. Just me and the Chevy Truck Marketing guy left on the show field at quitting time:

These technically don't count, since they were just regular 'ol days, but I drove my pickup to the Pure Stock Muscle Car Drag Races in Stanton Michigan to spectate. This was in the parking lot as I was leaving:

Funny story from around Woodward Dream Cruise time:


I had been driving a company vehicle for a few months and Red was just sitting, so my son asked if he could take the truck out during the week before the Dream Cruise.


He drove it to work one of those days and parked out in the corner, by his bosses' new BMW Z6. Folks had been coming in all week and asking the receptionist about that Beemer.


One of the students came in and said "hey, what's that sitting out there?" so the receptionist, feeling somewhat exasperated, started her practiced explanation: "oh, well that's Bob's new BMW...it's a Z6 and..."


Cutting her off, the student said "no - I'm talking about that old red pickup!"

This was a couple of months ago with the local people from a Facebook Squarebody group.

I never before thought of my truck as being, small....
