i noticed tonight that my front 4" RC lift springs in the front are not flush with each other while looking straight down them. like theyre sort of 'spun' on the center bolt...

is this normal??
i have no clue whatsoever...i've never seen it happen before at least

There should be clamps that keep the individual leaves in place.

Really though, even if those clamps are gone, the leaves should stay in place for the most part... IF your u-bolts are properly torqued. In other words, make sure your u-bolts have not loosened up.

My S10 did that before i put the lowering kit on it and then after i lowered it i redid the torque on the ubolts a week after i did it i never had another problem with it.

It's a broad range, like 110-140lbs I think.

It's 150-170 for the 5/8" fine thread....

Yeah, that sounds more like it. The 110-140 must have been the S10 u-bolts I did last... I hope. Hehe, maybe I should go check my u-bolts.

That's how you end up with broken tie bolts & wrung-off perches & all those lovely things: incorrect/insufficient torque on your u-bolts.
