I need 2 6-lug rims that are a narrow width. 15's or 16's, doesn't matter as long as the center opening is not the small size used on the IFS trucks. I just need the two of them so I can fit my Blazer onto my trailer, and they will double as spares for my trailer.

Oh yeah, I don't need tires, just the rims.

Toyota wheels (15x7, 6 lug) would be ideal. I just junked some a few months ago. :(

LOL they were in pretty bad shape. But that's what I would be looking for if I were you. The center opening is larger than Chevy's for the lockout hubs.

So should I look for some from an 80's model then?

My 2000 Tacoma has 15x7's on it, main thing to think about is backspacing if it matters. I think early 80s through 2000-ish truck rims should work.
EDIT: I see you want them for a Blazer, forget it. They will hit the calipers on the front but work OK on back.

I'm guessing you have tried it yourself then? If it's close to clearing, than that's good enough. I can just space them out with washers since it won't be driven on the road like that.

On second thought, it may not work on the trailer either if there's that much backspacing. The tire might rub the inside of the fender.

If you can find someone who would let you try one on for size would be the best way to know. If you weren't so far away we could try the spare from my Taco.

I have several extras but the shipping would cost more than picking them up locally at the junkyard. The ones you want will be from a mid 70's up wagoneer or 4wd GM 1/2 ton trucks so you'll have the correct shape to clear the disk brakes on your Blazer. The ones from the pre 71 GM trucks will rub up front since they were originally on drum brake equipped trucks. I ran into that after mounting up a few just for rollers on a couple old trucks. Look for the backside of the can to not taper towards the wheel flange. That taper will rub disc brakes. Total pita.

Will these fit?

So, always hunting for deals, i find these wheels (see pic). They are supposedly off a mid-90s Toyota 4x4. 15x8.5.

You must be registered for see images

From the pic and the description can anyone say that they will or wont fit a '79 4x4 with fulltime 4x4? If i put manual hubs in it, would they still fit? Is there a caliper clearance issue?

Speaking fo calipers, i hear that the Blazers have clearance issues. Are Blazer calipers a reasonable upgrade (usually a larger caliper is better) or are they, in the infinite wisdom of Detroit, just larger?

Oh, and can you put a 35x12.5 or similar on a 8.5"w wheel?

Yeah, those should fit. They are aftermarket which means the center hub will fit through the wheel with room to spare. I'm not aware of caliper clearance being an issue on any of the old straight axle Chevy trucks/Burbs/Blazers/etc. And an 8.5 width is a great size for a 12.5 tire :)

And I forgot about this thread. I'm actually on the lookout for 4 cheap rims now. I want to mount up some dinky tires so I can roll the Blazer into the garage.
