Has anyone ever done a single rear wheel conversion on a K30? I have axles from my K20 i was going to bolt in on a One ton K30 but the fender flares on a dually box look like once they are off they leave a big gaping wheel well opening that is much larger than a single rear wheel box?

Has anyone ever done this?

Im sure it has been done, one problem your going to run into is 1ton spring perches are in a different location than k10 or k20 axles

the perch is the sqaure thing your leaf spring sits on that is welded to the axle, On a k30 it measures like 40.5 center to center, whereas a k10 or k20 has a 42"(i think) center to center, so bottom line is you could take a k20 rear axle grind off the perches and weld them in the right spot... or IMO find a SRW k30 rear axle and bolt it right in

When you remove the fenders, you will find you need new bedsides or just another bed altogether.

Have you considered keeping the current axles? The front just needs SRW hubs/rotors swapped on, and you should be able to leave the rear alone. I think it will just push the rear wheels outward about 2 inches when compared to a SRW truck. And the center hub will protrude more than a SRW truck.
