That's a great looking truck. Whoever took care of it that well or did the resto on it, deserves some serious commendation.

Nice Truck! I never thought I would like that color on any vehicle. That truck proves me wrong. Nice paint job.

Super nice truck! Must have been restored with engine compartment looking like new.

I love those old GM gold interiors. My dad had a 67 Impala that was gold/gold.

Welcome Vince, and thanks for blowing our minds.

The only thing I would change (not counting changing ownership to me) is modding the TC to part time and adding locking hubs.
'79 imo was one of the best years considering the engine packages. The heads went rapidly downhill after that. Smogger propaganda.
But the full time ate fuel and tires.

Hellova shop too...

Welcome to the group. nice truck. I have to ask a question on the trim along the side. On the front fender the striping goes down about 3-4" below the marker light and does not line up vertically with the side trim behind the tire all the way back. Is this how it's supposed to be? I am asking because I am getting ready to paint my square in the next month and will be "painting" this trim on". I didn't want the bulky trim popping out, but do like the trim to surround the white side stripe I will be pain

I cannot provide a definitive answer to that. I just feel that in most, cases striping is best applied to closely follow/ mimic the body lines and sheet metal creases in the vehicle and that is what was done in this case.

Somewhere I have a sales brochure for this vehicle and if I can dig it up I will advise what is shown.
