If it's in the front, it sounds to me like your rotors are warped. My truck has 109,000 on it 9,000 on a fresh drivetrain. PO said rotors and drums are factory and were turned according to specifications and intervals. It only took 1000 miles of hotrodding it for the fronts to warp.

On top of that ive got a bad wheel cylinder or two in the rear with terrible brake squeals at time.

I removed the load compensator on mine, but I've noticed the back end likes to slide around a lot without a load. Not sure if the two are related in any way but I kind of wish I had kept it.

when you did the front brakes, did you make sure all the slide pins were lubed and moving freely? If those start to stick they can cause a shake under braking also, because they're not allowing the caliper to float as designed.

If it's 4x4, it could also be your front leaf spring bushings gone bad or soft. When they go bad, and your braking, the bad bushings will allow the springs to shudder and you'll feel it.
