That is soooooo killer!

We had a '75 "Spirit Of America" package coupe. Purchased it brand new. White with white GT seats and bright red carpets. 4 on the floor with the GT dash and wheels. I don't think it made it to 30,000mi before it was oil fouling one plug so bad that it rarely ran right. Between that and the crazy huge rust around the lower corners of the windows and the rear quarters at the trunk corners, that thing was completely done by 45k.

You should put the wagon on ebay. They are so rare, you never know what might happen bidding-wise.

Thanks for posting the actual pic.. I can't get my photobucket to work with this damn Windows phone.... surprisingly this ones near rust free, but it originally came from Florida. Its been in Georgia for about 20 years... I've had it for almost that long but I don't have the time or $$$ that it deserves.. I'd rather sell it than just rot let it rot in my yard. Its been on Craigslist for a week or so, but I have thought about eBay. Its just such a pain in the ass...

I have all the parts needed to drop a small block in that car

I have 2 72 vega hatchbacks and have built a handful of v8 vegas

that wagon would be sweet with a ecotec 4 banger as a driver great gas mileage from a cool old car

Thought about a engine/trans. combo from a S10. But I need a truck... Or a suburban...and just no time or money to put in it...worried it will be in bad shape by the time I get around to working on it..

I really think you should take the 5min and put that on ebay. CL is a waste of time for something like this. You need maximum exposure to nation-wide enthusiasts.

I sometimes wonder if the Vega isn't now THE rarest car in US automotive history. I live where everything is well preserved by the excellent weather and road conditions. On a daily or weekly basis, I see everything from Model T's and A's, to all manor of vintage foreign, and American iron from the 50's-80's, including stuff like Nova's, Mavericks, Pintos, Gremlins, Pacers, you name it. I never see Vegas. Literally, I think I've seen 1 in the last 20yrs. My daughter was with me, and I said, "Look quck and enjoy. You'll never, ever see another Vega."

So air up the tires, tow it over to the driveway so it looks like something that someone gives a crap about. Get the cardboard sign out of the window, take some quality photos and post a nice add. I think you'll find it to be worth your time!

You can post full sized photos to ebay, either using their system, or via your photobucket account. I can help you with the code if you want to use the HTML feature on ebay, to link to your pbucket album. It's this symbol: < and then you type the code: img src followed by the = sign. The a pair of quotes " " and then the symbol >
Inside those quotes, you put the actual URL of the photo on photobucket.

My thoughts exactly. Super or turbo charged Ecotec with a matching 6-speed and you would be in business!

Thanks for all the input guys.. the main reason I haven't put it on eBay is because I don't have an account... Or a computer...
