No not really with makes it hard to actually hear the noise.

Thanks no whistle sound at allAt idle a stock/mild engine with a good vacuum signal will have noticeable sucking sound at the carb.
Now something like a whistle sound could be a vacuum leak, but the above is normal without an air cleaner.
on it!!Id go ahead and change the plugs as they're cheap then you'll know you put new plugs in and can forget about them for a while.
Thanks That was the first time for me. Good to know however.Sounds normal if you haven’t heard an engine rev up with out an air intake or air cleaner on it.
