255/60/15 vs 275/60/15

Hello! I’m new here and would appreciate the feedback. I have an 1982 square body short box and I’m debating on staggering 255/60/15 up front and a 275/60/15 in the rear, of just going with a 275/60/15 all around. I have stock rally wheels and I’m going with a Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/T, white letters out all around. If anyone has any feedback or pros and cons or pictures of their setup in these sizes I’d greatly appreciate you sending them my way. Thanks!!

I run the very same tire size combo, but on my Chevelle. The tires were actually purchased to use on my C10, but the Chevelle was in much more of a need for tires.

I'd run the 255s on all four corners 2nd choice would be the 275s on all four corners,reason being you can rotate them,a spare would be same front or rear and 20mm stagger isn't that big of a difference. 275s are going to be a little harder on steering components and frame.

Its all about you....what do you really like.....I'm a fat and skinny guy.....its just me, some like all 4 corners the same.....I do have a site I use Tiresize.com...I enjoy it, you can select 2 sizes, and they compare them for height, width, and diameter....the diameter deal really helps on late model vehicles....so you don't stray to far from OE and effect speedo much...try its fun...keep pics coming of your build

Certainly the most fiscally responsible approach. Especially if it’s going be a high miles daily that you’re wearing out tires on. But for a cruiser/ Sunday go meetin truck, achieving the look may be more important at not much or any extra cost.
Although when I did the staggered setup on the 77, the 255s cost more than the 275s!!
To the OP, if you do go staggered width, decide whether you want them to look the same diameter or not. If you do both widths 60 series the rears will be slightly taller. Also a cool look, just mentioning it.
I did fat and skinny with different wheel offsets front and rear, but not big n little.
