I gave my old 30x9.5 R15s to my dad. He put them on his 4x4 87 S10.
They look good on there.

Hehehe. Not really an S10, actually an 87 Dodge Dakota, but I threw a chevy emblem on the grill, and no one knows the difference. Now it blends in with all pur other trucks. Found a set of S10 badges at the junk yard that I'm gonna put on to seal the deal, Haha.

I'm running 235/70/15. I never knew so I looked up what the stock size was for a '74 C10 and they were 225/75/15's. When I go to that site, "tiresizecalculator.com" is the one I have had a lot of use from shows you very simply what different sizes look like compared to what you have on your truck now. After I built my truck I thought a big wide tire would look cool, a 275/60/15 was so wide as soon as it rained the first time after the truck was done, that it started hydroplaning so bad I had trouble driving it straight. That's when I looked for a smaller size and ended up with what I am running now. I still wanted a wide tire but one that didn't hydroplane so bad and the ones I have now are perfect.

This is not a question.
White letter always go out. Unless it's a new vehicle they should be shamed with bland tires.
it may not be obvious now, but you are an integral part of gods plan

remember that

On serious note, i always had a small amount of disgust when i worked at the tire desk and someoen wanted their whites in... like almost gag kind of thing

tread design and weight distribution will affect this a lot, so a long bed with zero back there and super wide tires with no evacuation on the tread and open diff, yeah its gonna hydro plane.
goodyear wranglers (gross) are gonna especially be bad at this

Figured i should update this in case anyone else has the same question later on. I went with the 275/60r15 Cooper Cobras. I also hit the factory rally wheels with a wire wheel to get the rust off and then painted them black. Also polished the center caps and trim rings but ended up leaving the trim rings off. I thought it looked best this way. I have to say I'm pretty happy with the difference it made in the look of the truck.
