I can't even see how it's mounted? Are they bolted to the shock mounts?

It almost appears to be clamped around the axle tubes.

Ain't nothing wrong with that. That's basically what the OEM's do now, they just have a little locating notch on the axle is all.

Yeah, I like the fact that it doesn't hang under the bumper.

Installed this today. Got it for $10 along with another but the other didn't work (came from a flood car). Has auto-dim, compass, temperature, HomeLink and map lights.
