My bed floor has some nasty patch panels welded in at the back. I was wondering who's installed one of those replacement floors from LMC. Is the quality any good? What gauge steel is it? I won't be getting it from LMC because i'm in Canada but I was quoted $1057 and it looks the same as LMC. I plan on getting the box bedlined when its installed.

I've got a gm bed floor from a texas truck, near Flint, Michigan. It's got some dings in the floor, but it is absolutely rust free. I was going to use it on my truck, but found a bunch of bondo in the bedsides I was going to use. Went with an 8' step bed instead. I can post pics if interested.

Sure! Post a few pics. I'm trying to get a clean look though. If its really dinged up bad I'd probably pass. Thanks for responding. Flint is only 3.5hrs from me so I'd be willing to do that drive.

My plan for it had been to hit the worst of the low spots with some duraglass, then have a high build bedliner sprayed in to hode the rest.

I wire wheeled all the loose paint off, then hit it with the grey epoxy primer to seal it up. Ended up highlighting all the dings.

Thanks for the pics looks like its really rust free. I'll keep it in mind but I was hoping for a few less dings. Too bad not to many people used bed liners back then. If I change my mind I'll get in touch. Thanks again!

Out of curiosity what would you be looking to get for that bed floor?

Well hell, I didn't know you were near Flint. I was up near there (Lapeer) several times the last couple months.

Yeah well, I drove right past you several times then lol. If the potential work pans out up there, I may be up there a bunch in the spring too.
