Radio Harness Pig Tails are a PITA!!!

I've been trying to locate the correct plug for my GM AM/FM radio with zero success. I bought the generic "supposed to fit all" pig tail set off eBay. Tried it on half a dozen different GM radios, it doesn't fit anything. This is really getting to be a pain in the ass. Was GM stupid enough to make dozens of different plugs for every year of radio/model offered through the 70's?
Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Attached are pics of my radio, the rear jack area and the "generic" plugs that fit nothing.

I can tell you that the pigtail set you have is for 1978-1993 Delco 2700's and 2000's, and what you have is completely universal for those years. That 1977 setup is a weird looking thing. I found a few on eBay, but they're not near as common, and they're generally more expensive. I searched "1977 Delco radio connector." Maybe you can do the same, and see if the female side matches your male side on the radio.

I did a little more research and yes, the General was stupid enough to make a billion different connectors in the early 70's. I've found that my radio is a 31BFM1 which was available originally in a '73/'74 Caprice and Impala. There are a few others that have the same type plug but I don't know their application. So, armed with this info, I'll hit a few of the vintage wrecking yards and see if I can locate an original connector.

Hit up @RetroC10Sport too. He'd know that stereo the second he seen it or a car it might be in and he hits up those U Pull it yards a bit more frequently than most of us. Also @bucket might just have one since he's into those older Caprice/Impala cars. Just not that ugly 73/74 Body Style that I know of.

Oh, here you go, Greg. Maybe this'll help you a little in your hunt and then setting it up afterwards. Looks like this one was slightly more universal. I swear I've seen that connector set on eBay. Maybe some of these vintage auto radio shops have that connector set gathering dust in a drawer if you don't luck out on here or eBay.
