Looks great, did the fans come out of a Gas or Diesel 2500?
No idea, they look identical to the ones on my all original 2011 suburban with a 5.3. I think the duramax still uses mechanical fans in those years, but I could be wrong. I got the radiator and fans from a local yard for $50 total

You are correct, now that you mention it, the Duramax did have the Mechanical fans. I love re-purposing cheap parts. Many folks spend +$1000 on radiator and Fan setup and certain level of car build deserve nothing but the best but us every day guys don't need all that high dollar stuff. I also used two PWM controllers that I robbed from 2ea. 05/08 Ford Fusions to control the fans. $10ea. and a used heavy duty Trans Cooler from a 98 Suburban with a $50 Trans cooler line kit from eBay
