Hi, from my experience Porter Shorty cherry bombs are louder than Cherry Bomb cherry bombs and Thrush brand also. Does anyone know of another brand besides Porter that’s louder? I need 2-1/4” inlets and outlets. I’ll swap on whatever is recommended to see if there louder myself.

Straight Porters but angled out the side is what I’m going to do like I had on it in previous years
Angled behind the tea tire not in front of the rear tires

Guys used to soak them in water back in the day, that would pack the fiberglass and make them louder, if that is what you want.....

I absolutely HATE cherry bombs if any type. They are too poppy and sound like ****! I like loud too. Just not cherry bombs. Guy has them here at work. Worst sound you can imagine. Jmo

You can also try the Jones Flow Pak single chamber mufflers like I have on our truck as seen here...

They come in several sizes and on my truck they are the 3" variety.
I picked them up from Summit for a massive $25 each.

IMO it's more about the noise maker than the noise controller. I mean a high compression large cubic engine will sound better than anything else doesn't matter what the muffler is.

Also it seems no one considers the sound of music underhood is effected by the intake. For example, a tunnel ram vs a dual plane. You should be able to guess what sounds better!

Oh but you can't run a tunnel ram on the street... wanna bet?
BB (prefer 496)
11.1 compression,
dual carb tunnel ram,
2 Impco 425s,
Propane!
