Ya, title sounds odd but...

I've got my Vortec 350 running great but still had one part I needed to swap; the stock pcv for the Wagner dual-flo, billet aluminum piece. Yes, I spent $125 on a pcv so get over it.

With a warm engine at idle, I had 15 inches of vacuum and a slight lope. I swapped the valve and adjusted according to the instructions. The idle went up 400 rpm. I brought it back down and she runs exceptionally smooth without lope at 19 inches vacuum. Noticeably improved throttle response.
ME Wagner- check it out.
Made a believer out of me.

Interesting, I wonder if it would be helpful on older smallblocks?

As alternative, Purolator PV774 is supposed to be setup for low vacuum engines(non factory cam)

I wouldn't consider 16 inches low. Unless you have a bone stock engine, "close" is as good as you'll get- if they still sell 35 year old parts.

I think the big benefit is the dual circuit rather than the all or nothing approach.

Here's a good read on it.
