Ok, im looking to swap a nv3500 in place of my sm465 for better driveability and im just looking for input and tips on how to do so in a reliable manner. The tranny i bought has an internal slave so it should clear my front driveshaft. Mainly just asking about mounting the master cylinder and getting the clutch all squared away. Should i use the master it came with out of a 90s chevy or could i use an 84-87 master cylinder? Will the lines work if i go with the older master? Any info is much appreciated.

Thanks, Red

I used a wilwood master with mine. Then you can use an braided AN line.

Here is my write up with details and part numbers.

The reason i was asking about the 80s master cylinder was that could potentially eliminate the lengthening process described in your thread. Then the only roadblock would be the lines (i think). Im not saying you are wrong... just wondering if that would work?

Thanks
