Bought an 81 k10 couple weeks ago. It has no grill only the quad headlights. I would like to retrofit it to a late 70s truck. Some say I would have to change the whole front clip. Is this really the case? Or just the header panel? And of course the appropriate grill and trim.

There used to be a really good thread on here that walked you through it. Can't seem to find it anymore, not sure if he's still a member here or not. Started out with a light blue and silver '80s model, and swapped the older round eye clip on. Painted it green with a white inset in the side.

Pretty much everything but the inner wheel wells.

Need new hood, radiator support, hood latches, fenders, hinges, top bar over the radiator, maybe even the battery trays and supports.

One way to double check would be to go on LMC's catalog and look to see what parts fit the year range that you want to convert to and see if it's compatible through your year. If not, needs to be swapped.
