Just got this bad boy. 87 sierra... couple things planned for it.... first thing will be steering column and steering wheel but can't find a shorter steering column for it. The other thing will be lower it a little more and also redo the gauges to either some digital or Dakota gauges...

Welcome and what a gem of a truck you have! Something seems wrong with the wheels though...

Howdy and nice truck!

The wheels are directional. Either the fronts or rears need swapped from side to side. And imho, the stance looks good how it is. But I know not everyone likes a little bit of rake.

Nothing is wrong with your wheels or tires, they suit the lowered look.
I'm a 4x4 guy and big wheels and low profile tires kinda leave me confused....
In my neck of woods lowered trucks are very rare, so I'm not used to seeing them.
When I see a lowered square my first thought are "oh no!! One hellova big bump must of broke the suspension!"
But then I get over it.

I take it you want to get the steering wheel out of your chest? That's why you're looking for a shorter column?
Just a steering wheel upgrade may be all you need. A flat wheel with no dish will move the wheel forward. This
is a common thing I have always done with my squares..
