New oil pan

Just replaced the old PITA 7 quart pan with a 5 quart Milodon. Question is will the factory coating resist corrosion or should I plan on painting it?

The coating on them holds up well from what I've seen. I don't know if I've ever seen one that was on a winter driver for years though. They are usually on 3-season types of cars.

Thanks Bucket..i"ll give some more thought and go from there.

Idahovette, nothing was wrong with it. The resevoir flares out and made it difficult to change the oil filter and the starter was a header off operation. I will be trying to sell it along with the oil pump and extension sleeve. It's a Moroso unit.
