Hey everyone I bought me a 77 K10 Camper Special. 350, 4 bbl carb, turbo 350 trans and np203 T case. I originally bought the truck to make it a Pulling truc for Tug a Truck (Its big in my part of Ohio). But I kinda started liking more and then I thought I mite as well make her pretty and could still pull with her occasional lol. But im still learning and this is a great site lots of info here thats why I joined. But the trucks really rusty (Thanks Ohio for all the salty roads) And jus planning to get new sheet metal, hoping to find a good parts truck.

This Is what all I've Done so Far.
New Tires
New Alt.
New Battery
New Starter
Half A**ed rebuild Carb, Got secondary's working
Tail lights
And a really good cleaning form how it was when i got it lol

And Oh yea this is what we do with our 4x4 in flat ohio, Either mud pits or this--> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KiOLKUM9mJs

Welcome to the forum, that looks like fun! Looks like the more tire spin you have, the faster you go backwards lol

Another howdy from Ohio! I'm in the West Jefferson/ Lilly Chapel area.

And HRPC... this truck here looks like the colors you were talking about too.

Welcome to GMSB.

Yep, it is similar colors. I was not aware of that combo in the older round headlight models.

Poor truck has some cancer buddy. How about the frame? If the frame is all still good and not got the cancer yet, then the cancer isn't terminal. New/Used body parts can fix it right up.

Thats why i bought it, the frame was still good which is still hard to find around here (Thanks Cash for Clunkers)... and I'm from A lil Town Near Lima. So, you guys havent seen this color on the 77 models before? I'm certain it is orginal... Im only the third owner of it FIrst a Farmer (theres still hay and straw pack in the hood supports and head light bezels haha). Then a contractor bought It and put it through its paces.

What I really wanna do is do a restomod, Keep the 2 tone but a dark metallic orange, and a gun metal grey in the middle.. Idk one day once I get my own shop she'll be pretty haha

NO, I have not seen those colors in the older round headlight models. Sounds like you have a good project that just needs some body parts transplanted then.

Here is the color scheme I like but very rarely see. I'm not a fan of orange, not a fan of tan, but I damn sure like the 2 together and might just do one of mine in these colors. These are factory colors too.

hahaha, Fake leather !!! It's called vinyl seat. I do beleive 77 was first year for Power Locks and windows. Silverado would be things like that metal trim package, chrome bumpers instead of painted bumpers, AC, PS, PB, maybe a stereo, guages instead of idiot lights etc.

Retro or Bucket would be the better ones to know about the packages back in the 70's. I'm more into the mid 80's trucks, and all of mine are Silverado, but 1 which is a burnt cab Scottsdale, and its only a parts truck for the frame and bed.

That makes sense and I know its Vinyl haha. I have all of those and I just remembered I have those vents that can open in the kick panels, I'm assuming standard on non A/C trucks.

But Thanks everyone for the help and the Welcomes I got a lot to learn and a lot of info here
