New diff for 77 c10

Hi guys, I need to install a new differential in my truck.
It will have 3.73 gears.

Do any of you have experience with the cone type carrier style?

Yes to experience and I like them. However, my favorite for a rear on a street driven vehicle is Detroit Tru-Trac.

If you are planning on bringing your diff to a local shop to build, I'd start by talking to them. They often have good used/ rebuildable units for less and can possibly beat a retailer on new units.
