Hey guys, the mounts on my frame for the cab/bed are rotted, I was going to have my welder just weld a washer in but I was just reading somewhere the pre-81 frames (mine is an 80) had "D" shaped holes and not circular. Can anyone confirm, post up a pic or measurement? I gotta get these fixed somehow. Thanks! Its a regular cab short bed 2wd if that helps.

huh? you posted my build thread. But no I was wondering if anyone knew if the pre '81 had any irregular shaped holes because mine are rotted out and i was going to just weld in a washer if its round, butttt would need measurements if theyre D shaped. I will try to PM someone with a frame off in the mean time, thanks

When I built my 77 I didn't notice any non-circular holes in the frame so I think you're good. Where exactly did you read that there were non-circular holes?

the frame stub sitting in my shop, with mint cab mounts, and the box of mint cab mounts all have round holes.
