Need part number on dash light holder

So.. I went to change some dash lights on my 1990 k5 jimmy. I noticed a few of the bulb holder pieces were messed up. I thought.. no biggie I have a couple spare square body instrument panels. So I pulled them out of my 1980's models.. and to my suprise its a different size, and crappier contacts. The black is the older type, blue is the new crap. Anyone have a part number on the 1990 blue one? I have like 20 of the older black style, much better design. Wont fit in the holes. Thanks

HF sells an assortment of small files that I use for modeling, maybe you can make the black style fit.

the 90 is a bulb and holder all in one part. the bulb isn't a replaceable item by itself.

I think Dorman has dash lamp sockets in a variety of sizes.

I should've known that the 90 is a bulb and socket in one.... years ago. Like over 10 years ago I put leds in those blue things. Had to snake the light contacts in and around the metal contacts. It wasn't the greatest... and they flickered once in a while on certain bulb locations. I tried filing one black one down, but no ways that's working. So, anyone have a bulb number or better replacement?

Right on! Thank you guys for that. What was gm thinking? Lol .. for two more model years? If you have the newer semi electronic version with electric speedometer, daytime running lights , and any earlier model on the bench side by side. They look basically the same. Same weird ass printed circuit board. Different holes and bulbs.. Now I know something more. I have an 83 cluster with tachometer in my older truck. I parted a 1987 4x4 out that came with a tbi motor. Had a weird extra sensor that read the speedometer, because it had a mechanical speedometer. Weird little things they change. Thanks again for expanding my knowledge!

GM also used a 168 bulb. It looks identical to a 194, but is a slightly higher wattage. The 168 bulb was mainly used in warning lights or turn signals so those lights would be naturally brighter than the backlighting.

I remember reading somewhere that GM used bulb holders that were different colors to make it easier for the people on the assembly line to put the correct bulb in place. The bulb holders are identical other than the color.

I ordered that harness from classic revolution and they came quickly enough. I think those reviews are because they are over a year late delivering preorders for that in dash touchscreen radio. I haven't installed my bulb harness yet so I can't speak to quality but I think its a great idea.

I agree on the reason for bad reviews is the touchscreen dash. Odd that people post bad reviews though as every time I go on the site he posts updates and offers to refund money for anyone dissatisfied with delays. He seems to be a perfectionist and wants to sell a quality product and not just rush to market.

I plan to order some luminescent gauge faces when available.
