Mystery Plug

Good Evening,
I'm trying to undo the work the previous owners did when they swapped the motor, but I've run into another mystery plug that I cannot identify. It has three wires coming from the plug and one of them, a light blue one, was headed around the distributor base heading to the alternator. It was cut pretty close to the front edge of the carburetor which makes me think it might have been part of the choke system. The plug itself seems to be connected to the main engine harness at the rear of the engine bay using the other two wires, one is medium blue and I think the last one is orange. Somebody put vortec heads, a MSD distributor, and a Holley carb on this years ago so I keep finding plugs dangling everywhere. If you can identify it, please let me know what it is so I can decide to remove it or not.

Looks like the plug for the choke oil pressure switch. Check the colors in our wiring diaghrams.

There are a few more things on this truck that I have never seen either. Most of them are "repairs" made by previous owners.

Looks like the lower oil pressure switch, located above the oil filter housing.

I bet that is correct. It's at the back of the motor and the harness has a metal loop that looks like it would fit a trans to motor bolt perfectly.

Yes, as stated choke wires to the pressure switch. The light goes out because there is less resistance to ground through the choke coil when the oil switch closes.

The choke light acts as a flame out light when the engine stalls. Also lights with low engine idle because how the choke light gets it's ground.

It also doubles as an early design SES light.
