Mystery of the disappearing brake fluid...

Ok friends, here is something I have never experienced. '78 Chevy. This is my elderly neighbor's plow truck. I moved it for her last fall and the brakes did not feel right. Popped the cap of the reservoir and the front chamber was empty. Bone dry. I guessed probably a bad wheel cylinder; I would deal with it in the spring. I went out last week to fill it up and bleed the brakes so I could move it to investigate. Popped the cap and now both chambers have fluid????
Thoughts?

Is it possible somebody went to move it after you parked it? They may have noticed the brake issue and filled it.
