If its aluminum master cylinder then its not worth rebuilding just buy new. If its a steel/cast iron one then yes rebuild it. Those are better than the aluminum ones any day unless its like that rusty one I have then replace it too. Have had chance to pull it yet to see if it leaked and fluid in the power booster yet. If it has then I would replace it too cause it ruined the single or dual diapham which ever you may have.

And if the booster is working fine, just leave it alone. Yes, the fluid can hurt a booster... but it rarely ever does.

Yah, I never saw fluid in the booster before, just the outside is wet, paint is peeling off from the fluid. It's not even dripping off it though, just damp. I check under the hood every weekend, it wasn't doing that last weekend. And the pedal feels fine.

So if I bench bleed the new one I shouldn't have to bleed the brakes, right?

I need to shop around for one....

Before you buy one, did you check to make sure that rubber gasket in the reservoir cap is seated right? Mine got off one time and got fluid back on booster.

No, I didn't check it, but I never had it open since I bought the truck. I will check it just in case.

Where did you buy yours? I am looking around and most of them seem to be around 20.

RockAuto wants 11, but 9 bucks for shipping. :shitsweak:
