I found this gem... ive been doing free-lance machining here and there and one of the places I was doing turning for has this company truck parked out back.

07 ... 4.3, 4L60e
Big single Throttle body, CABLE driven, has a DISTRIBUTOR, and its got E fans. Strange combo for 07, but i know the 4.3's remained pretty archaic for a while.

It cranked right up and idled. He said I can take it for a grand, im coming back in a couple weeks to get this, and thats where my blown 5.3 will go. In the work truck WITH the ladder rack.

Those later 2wd and V6 trucks were kind of interesting. I bet if you look under it, you'll find a torsion bar suspension too.

The work truck i was wanting fell thru. The guy had to give it to his dad so I found another single cab long bed.

1999 single cab, no trans or motor. The rest of the truck was there, title included for 800$

Got my front clip laid up there so she looks respectable and began clearing out the interior. Also worked on the stary headliner. The kid nearly had it done so im finishing it and will showcase that.

Its like 1000s of fiber optic lines lol

Don't put an HD2 kit in it, they are a waste of money and the bypass will just stick and blow it up. Just manual dual feed it and do a sonnex boost and line to lube PR valve. I also did the Transgo AFL ream and replacement valve and TCC lockup valve while I had it apart. I used a Transgo separator plate and then just drilled it for the firmness of the shift I wanted.

All this talk about boost reminds me how sick I was of dealing with boost problems…

Here’s what happens when the intercooler pump gets shut off. These CP pistons were $799 a pair

Is that the top of the piston? If so, what the heck was rattling around in there?

Yes, I can only assume it was the part of the ring land that broke off it. I haven't torn it down yet but it smashed the plugs too.
