Knock sensor removal

Has anyone had a problem removing the knock sensor from an 87 350 engine? Socket wont work, dont really want to vise grip the thing.

Did you try SOAKING where it is threaded into block with PB blaster? 87 had the round metal sensor with the hex drive on the plastic end if I remember correctly. Good luck, hope it comes out without to much trouble.

I soaked it with wd40 for two days then used a huge vise grip to get it off. Thanks for the advise..
