Hello everyone.

I’ve been researching EGR delete kits and keep seeing mixed opinions about their benefits and risks.

Some people claim they improve engine performance, fuel efficiency, and reduce carbon buildup, while others warn about potential legal issues, increased emissions, and possible engine damage over time.

For those who have installed an EGR delete kit, what has your real-world experience been like? Did you notice a significant difference in performance or maintenance? Also, are there any long-term downsides that don’t get talked about enough?

I’d appreciate insights, especially from diesel truck owners or mechanics with hands-on experience.

What are you working on? I had everything written up well for a gas truck. Then reread your post and saw diesel mechanics,so I deleted everything. I'm not aware of diesel squares having egr valves.

The "C" code (I think) 6.2's had an egr in the manifold inlet. The "J" code (again, I think) engines did not.
