Hello from Texas.

Just bought a 1979 Chevy Bonanza today. It came with a rebuilt 305 and rebuilt Trans, it's free of any dents (only some little dings) and it is free of rust, so I felt good about the purchase.

Only problem is, when I go to any auto parts website and I put in the info for the truck, BONANZA is not a choice in the sub-model menu. And I don't know which one to choose (custom delux, scottsdale, silverado...?)Anybody have any advice for that?

Thanks - I look forward to getting a lot of info here.

Welcome! I think the bonanza is a Scottsdale with some added options.

I'm pretty sure your truck is a Silverado. I do know the Bonanza came with 3 different trim packages. I'm almost positive it starts as a Silverado.

Howdy!

A Bonanza was just an option package. A little of this, a little of that, at a slightly discounted price. You have all the side trim like a Silverado, if you also have carpet, full headliner and door panel inserts then that's basically what you have. But as for the auto parts website, just pick one because trim levels don't mean squat when you are looking up tierods, alternators, brakes, etc.

Thanks for the welcome.

So, what is the best place to look for reasonably priced replacements like door panels, molded plastic dash cover, bench seat cover?
