I have the next generation of your truck (as it was originally)...'97 Chevy C3500, 350/4L80E/4.10 FF. My other OBS is a Burb, and since 1975 my family has had 3 GMC half ton long bed pickups and 5 square body Burbs. Once my brother got into school, the single cab was not enough vehicle (the guys in my family run large, and the women like our space). Plus we do many swap meets, car shows and toy shows throughout the year, so we need something to haul people and stuff.
I was looking for a square body 3+3, but this one came along when I had the ability to get it, and it's pretty low mileage and equipped how I wanted. I grew up in squares, just can't afford one currently....
