When i bought the truck i had heat in the cabin, but on the way back home, the lever got loose with no effect on the heat selection.

i have the climate control unit, is it easy to acces both end of the command cable, what parts must be removed to fix the problem ?

To access the vent/heater control, you have to remove the cluster bezel.

- remove the screws of the bezel and its lower part under the steerin column
- remove the knob of the radio by pulling them
- in case of tilt column don't forget to put it in the lower position

you should see this

to get the vent/heater control you just have to remove the 4 screws, now it s only hold by the command cable and the wiring harness

i just had to reinstall the loop of the cable on the pin after removing/puting back the lock shim and put the red square platic part of the cable in the hole under the controls

Pictures of the cable end at the top of the heater housing behind the glove box. Sometimes that screw holding the red tab works loose and the cable slides a bit trying to adjust the heat:

Need help with climate control cable? My original cable broke ordered one from LMC. Can anyone help me with how to connect and adjust cable to right length? Right now it is connected, it slides fairly easy when moved to hot, but when I slide it back to cold it gets stuck. Don’t want to force it! Thanks
