Hi my name is Hagen, saying hello from Missouri. I'm not new to squarebodys but I am new to this forum. My latest squarebody is a 1990 Chevy Suburban v1500. I bought it at a great price from a couple in rural Illinois. They pieced her together from several other Suburbans. While it definitely needs some TLC, it runs fairly well and is 99% rust/dent free.
Engine: TBI 350 of unknown origin, supposedly with ~120k miles. Runs very strong.
Trans: Factory 700r4, tears through forward gears but is loud and weak in reverse?
T-Case: NP241c, kinda leaky but shifts smoothly through 4x4. Front drive shaft is missing though so true operating status is unknown...
Front Axle: Dana 44, supposedly a 1977 with 3:42 gears. Fresh ball joints and steering assembly. Milemarker lockouts, passenger side broken.
Rear Axle: 14 bolt FF, also supposedly a 1977 with 3:42 gears. Has the big 13" drum brakes and a big leak from the pinion seal. Also has a loose pinion nut. No bearing noise yet but must be fixed asap...
Front suspension: Flimsy 1/2 ton springs with g8 fasteners
Rear suspension: Beefy 1 ton springs with g8 fasteners
Wheels: 17x8 Eagles
Tires: 265/70r17 E load, Bridgestone Duravis m700 out back and BFG Rugged Trail TA up front.
Interior: Grey Silverado trim in pretty good condition. Missing the headliner, drivers door panel, and radio. Has rear AC. Dash looks like a lunar landscape.
WANTED: All factory smoke tint glass, but especially rear sliding tailgate glass.
