So I started my truck as normal this morning, warmed it up and took off. Made it about 3 blocks when the headlights went bright, my dash went bright and turned on some green lights that I've never seen light up before, and then the headlights went out, the yellows were still on, I coasted it to a parking lot and there it sits.
I just put in a reman alternator on Wednesday. I drove it to work yesterday with no problems.
I smelt a hint of burnt rubber or wire and no lights work and it does not crank.
I will be replacing the alt again after work I'm hoping that's the only problem.
74 gmc 3/4 ton 4 spd.
any help and tips are appreciated .
