What's the best way to fill holes in the dash? Dad had a cb and two way fire radio in my truck back in the day, so it has some small holes in the dash for mic clips and such. I'm not real sure of the best way to eliminate those. I also want to add some lights to my push bar and would like to see where everyone has their switches mounted.

Small holes can be filled with jb weld or use a welder if you have one.

I'm a little concerned about welding on my dash, bit I guess if I strip everything out it would be OK.

How small of a hole? you could get by with some tiger hair and then body filler rather than welding. Just dinple the hole i a dit and fill it up.

Tiny screw holes to mount a mic clip mostly. Interior is my next step, may try to fill the holes or just leave them be. They kind of tell a story of the trucks past. Yes I'm weird like that.

I have a similar but larger problem with my dash. The PO hacked a huge rectangle hole into the dash to install an aftermarket stereo, the stereo doesn't work so I pulled it out and now I have this huge ugly hole in my dash. Is welding my only option or are there alternatives??

You could weld in a plate and then cut out for the stock radio and knobs.

If you dont wanna weld, you could put a plate inside the dash and mount it using some sheet metal screws. Should easily have enough space underneath the bezel. Again, would have to cut out for the stock radio and knobs.

In response to Bigcountry, i built myself a wooden center console and ran my switch wiring to there so I wouldnt put any switches into the dash and mess that all up.

You can always cut a section out of a good one at a pick n pull and rivet it into yours.
