Got a couple guys dealing with that right now on the forum. One has mentioned he is using fans from a Buick Rendevous I believe it was. Hopefully they'll be in here soon to be more specific.

I used a fan assembly from a Ford Windstar. Picked on up from junkyard for $40. Just another option. Shroud coverage over your radiator is key.

The Windstar fans work well on my '77, and so far the Rendezvous fans work great on my '84. I drive the '84 daily and just today I got stuck in a pretty long traffic jam in 90* weather, the fans had no trouble keeping the motor at 170 to 180 degrees at all times. However, my truck's AC is currently inop but I don't think that would cause it to run much hotter.

That's fine if you just want a little extra cooling. The factory actually used that setup too, on some 3/4 tons and 1 tons. To me, the real benefit of electric fans is the minor improvement in fuel mileage and less drag on the motor. I'll be honest too, the biggest reason I converted my C10 is because my fan clutch locked up. A new fan clutch is 40 bucks or so, but I already had the fans, wiring, relay and switch. So the upgrade only cost me my time.

I'd be going out on a limb to say yes since I've not done it, but I'd say, provided you have the right size radiator, the fans will move enough air to cool that radiator.
