It's a balmy 98 degrees today here, 100 expected tomorrow, and 101 Sunday.
Work 10 minutes on the truck, then head for the house to cool off for an hour as the generator sucks gas to run the evaporative cooler.

It’s a deceiving photo, there’s a lot more room than it appears

Finished with the shop wiring, here are some pictures of the three phase converter, excellant system used it for years in the old shop, and works like a champ in the new shop.

I didn't know this when I bought the steel bldg., but all wiring must be in conduit, there's a lot of conduit!

Everything works well, right rotation. The plugs are for the tig and mig welders, (center) right is three phase for the 12 inch disc grinder, and the buffer, and left are 30 amp 120V for grinders and etc.

It's taken me years to get to this point, and yes, I spent lots of years in the dirt, but close to "SHOP Nervina now. Air lines, furnace ducting, to complete. Most essential, shop tunes, Infinity 1001's, Bose 901's Sony's, Digital audio, and one more set of speakers. Driven by an old school Harmon Kardon 630, newer Harmon 6300, almost 1000 watts total. Love at first sound bite. Very hot here today, but the shop was opened up last night, and is a pleasant 70 degrees, and though I do have air conditioners I could install, it usually stays below 80 degrees if you keep the big door closed. Also have a little refer for cold beverages, microwave, and the all essential coffee pot. Thinking of a cot.... but I kinda like my good ol' girl so probably not. Spend lots of time here with friends wrenching, using the shop, that's what I built it for. Also am in the process of making an engine test stand as I will be building quite a few engines for my projects, and others. I don't have Mark Jones shop, but as a machinist, have all the measuring tools, (one Kennedy roller with middle and big top box chuck full, and two other top boxes for just for tools, reamers, cutters, all the stuff you gotta have to run a shop. How I make money when I am not working on the 250 acres farm/ranch. God is good.

Cool thread.
I started working on stuff outside, then bought a house with a carport, the garage was barely big enough for a small car but no room to work, now I've bought my 2nd house with a 30x30 garage and a 40x60 coming soon.

Carport and dirt floor shop at a buddies house til the house sells, lol.

I pulled a rotating assembly out of a mazda from underneath while laying on frozen ground in my front yard.. I had a tarp over the car and a handy heater under the car with me because it was January and 20 degrees outside. my hands were useless after 5 minutes. You do what you gotta sometimes.

Now I have a carport but its only 17ft deep so my truck hangs out the front at least 3-4 feet by the time i make room to work.
Slowed me down...YES
Stopped me....NEVER

Here's my money pit. 30x60 wasn't enough so I doubled it and still have trucks sitting outside.
