I've seen several posts on changing seats etc, and making brackets, but is there any direct swaps to be found? My 79 already has a 60/40 bench out of an 88up Chevy but the brackets have been cut and hacked, don't feel safe with them like this but would like to do buckets instead and make a console.

Only direct swap are 100% OEM original bucket seats which are about as rare as a unicorn.

I have OEM bucket seats but made up some bracketry from bench seats and a few pieces of welded metal.

Was kinda figuring that, lol I just don't like how the original owner cut and hacked the frame, it doesn't move or anything but I'm afraid a little if I'm in a wreck it would break apart

The closest you will get are factory buckets from a K5.

Also spied those racing buckets, wonder how hard they are to make fit or will they bolt up like the low back buckets with the adapter kit
