Did I Damage 94--5.7 engine???

Well I put new radiator and new engine oil lines in and been ok for couple days BUT on a 60 mile trip I just pulled into a small town with one stop sign and just started to pull away and looked down to see hardly any [oil pressure]?

I shut off engine and costed to a parking lot where I seen ALOT oil dripping?------I took off oil line and the o-ring broke in-two-----I only went maybe 1/8 of mile from stop sign so walked back to see drops of oil all the way and a puddle at stop sign and drops going down road from stop sign,

So got and put gal of oil back in with another o-ring and engine seems to be running ok??

SO if it was still spitting oil out even hardly no pressure on gauge do you think I damage engine??

If it was still leaking, then the pump still had at least a little bit of oil to keep circulating. It's probably fine.

If it's not knocking and has the same oil pressure you're good. The tell is if the oil pressure is lower.The rod bearings are last oiled, so first starved.If you wipe bearing material from no oil,then bearing clearance is increased and oil pressure drops,and or you get rod knock.

Well I have no knocking and oil pressure I cant say cause I run 5w-40 full synthetic schaffers in it and now all I could get was regulars 5w-30 so oil pressure is a tad lower now but I should change oil to what I use and cut open filter?

Imho, if you had Shaffers in it before, then your chances of it not being hurt are even greater. That stuff really clings from what I've seen.

I dont understand why Shaffers would be bad for engine??

I use Shaeffer Supreme 7000 full synthetic 10W30. Good stuff.
