I know it's off topic but damn, that first truck is perfect looking! 6" on square body is perfect... I think 9" on the blazer makes sense for off road etc but it's a bit too much lol

The 4" lift is good for DD and for towing. ITs tall enough for 33s and aside from the steering arm and shocks, no other modifications are necessary. 4" keeps you low to the ground for more of a factory ride and good for towing. Its also tall enough to crawl underneath and do some wrenching with out having to jack up the truck.

The 6" lift is good as well. For a DD it can be good depending on your preferences. If you don't mind your woman complaining about how tall it is to get in and out of lol. 35s fit comfortably 36s are about the limit without trimming. The drive shaft can be run at stock length but if going off road you will have issues. I would recommend lengthening the drive shaft for a 6" lift. Also if you go any taller than 6" in the back then its almost a must to have the driveshaft lengthened. The front drive shaft will also need to be lengthened if doing any amount of driving in 4x4 at speed. Extended brake lines are needed as well as shocks and 6" of steering correction although 4" will suffice. Off-road, a crossover steering kit helps a lot.

The 6" looks better IMO and can accommodate larger tires but also will need lower gears because of the larger tires. You will also need adapters to run the sway bar. like these

I have a 6" lift and Im going with a 4" lift on my next build. because of driveline angles and the fact that it will be used more as a DD for towing and as a family vehicle and the fact that I don't plan on going any bigger than 33s.

For off-road use I would start at 6" or bigger. 4" will just get you stuck when playing

I only run those tires when I am hitting the mud on the blazer , my street meats are 38" toyo mt's on 10 wides and the blazer drive's great down the highway at 70 + ,really smooth , totally nice , but yes it is a bit big for a daily driver , but I would , lol.

I have pitched the sway bars on all of my lifted square's and you dont even know they are gone , but thats just me.

I would pick the tire size and look you want and go with it , 6" little more things you have to do but not much , if you like just over stock look 4" 33's , little more , 6" lift 35's , either one works great for a daily driver , go for the look you want and have fun , (you can make anything a daily driver with enough money) , lol!!!!

You can do plenty of off roading with a 4" lift still if you want. Just avoid very deep mud holes. Adding a locker or 2 makes a huge difference.

Thanks , its a lot of fun. I just put 38/14.50 toyo mt's on it , (just for cruzing around), and it drive's so nice down the highway it's crazy , I would daily drive it no problem.

The gumbo mudders get a little freaky at 70mph.

I have a 4" suspension lift but it is not yet installed on my K20. I went with Superlift because the sales guy from http://4wheelonline.com/Superlift-suspension.20304 gave me a good price. I chose 4 inch lift since I'm not going to do intense off-roading.

How much was it ?

I just ordered sway bar swivel end links, polyurethane sway bar bushings, two 4" BDS front springs, polyurethane bushings for the springs and the factory 3rd shackle bushing in the frame and a 4" raised steering arm for $414 Canadian, delivered to my door.

From Zone/North Shore Off Road.
