My wife says it's added to the laundry to keep dyed items from running.

Washing Soda is a booster to cleaning laundry as far as I know. Never heard that about dyed items though.
Acutally I doubt you need a mixer. I just used my hand to mix it up so it disolves. Kinda like adding sugar to cold tee. If you don't mix it, the sugar just falls to the bottom. It doesn't take much for it to dissolve, just swish your hand around in it before you add the parts and electric.

You can actually make washing SODA out of baking SODA. By baking it on a cookie sheet and drawing all the moisture and I believe oxygen out of the baking soda leaving you with washing soda. I posted a pic of the box in my other Elecro thread.

Sure could be. If you add 4 teaspoons of sugar to a glass of tea, and don't stir it, the sugar falls to the bottom of the glass and it don't taste like sweet tea does it??? Kinda the same thing.

Notice in the pic above, I think that was 15 minutes into the process. If its working, it doesn't take long to see the results of something happening.

Well tried it again and didnt work at all for anything. This time I used the same amount water which 9 gallons to 9 tablespoons of washing soda but also added a 1/2 cup of salt. Plus used a broken push mower handle sticking the U shaped handle in upside on each of the intake and used the mower blade too. I used red handle clamps on jumpers to connect the handle bar to mower blade.

There you go, its gotta be the charger. The salt isn't even needed. I've never add a thing other than Baking or Washing Soda, that's it.
