Rough country I think is the cheapest but rides rough. By the way they have a vendor account here, check near the top of the main forum under vendors, you might get some discount codes.

Ya I know rough country but I was looking at seeing what it's gonna cost and how difficult it will be to install. Can't you just buy a leaf spring kit to get the 6" of lift?

More to it than just putting in new leaves.....

With 6" you'll need extended brake lines, shocks, tc case dropped, raised steering arm, driveshaft adjustment-modification, alignment

That's what I thought. So what will it run me to put a 6" lift on?

I've had excellent service from ORD and parts are top shelf quality so Ill use them as an example, feel free to shop around but at min this is what you need...imho:

http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/6inchliftsystem.htm

6" front springs with new U-bolts: $420
6" rear springs w/new U-bolts: $510
Raised steering arm: $75
Steering box brace: $130
Shocks + steering damper: $200
Extended brake lines: $115
Tcase drop: $50

Add $$ for alignment when done, factor in $$ for unforseen issues (may need new brakes, maybe realize ball joints are bad, ect...),... also now is the time to service many items in your frontend since it will be apart...re-pack bearrings ect.....driveline angle adjustment...

Add $$ if you want to up-grade to greasable bushings, HD shackles. ect...

Install isnt too bad, but figure a shop install is going to 2-3X the price. Thats just for the lift, now budget for wheels-tires...$$$

There are too many options and variables to tell someone how much a lift kit is going to cost. What worked for me may not work for you...both pricepoint and goal of suspension outcome. Ultimately you just have to read - read - read as much info as you can and make that decision on your own.

...just my .02$

Again, there really is no such thing as a "complete" lift...

It may get you up, but it will add stress elsewhere in your steering-braking-suspension-driveline-transmission that you will need to address later.

Whats that old adage about prevention????
