Hello, I have a 1983 Chevy C10 with a 454/th400 turbo. I am looking to see what is involved with swapping out the automatic and putting a nv4500 with hydraulic clutch setup in my truck. I know the driveshaft will have to be modified. The biggest thing I need to know is what would I need to do this as far as which parts below I would need to use. Also how would I use my mechanical speedometer?

Clutch
Flywheel
Clutch Master cylinder
Clutch Slave cylinder

Thanks Larry

Never done the swap myself but...

I think the clutches actually interchange between an SM465 and an NV4500, so those would just be the stock application for the year of your 454.

Use an '85-up pedal assembly and clutch master, along with a slave that's correct for the year of the NV4500. Fluid line to mate the two of them would need to be made more than likely.

Not sure about the speedo. One of those "Cable X" converter boxes (may be other brands now too) might be the only option.
