That's probably what I'd do. And it looks mostly rust free so a very solid starting point for a project whether it be as a driver/work horse or whatever

This would be cool. I wonder what he'd trade for.

"Looking to sell or trade my 79 blazer stock 2 wheel drive with a 383 Stroker, 400 Turbo tranny"

Doesn't look very stock to me, I guess he used some secret rpo codes for the lowered suspension, aftermarket wheels, custom paint, cowl hood, 383, etc. etc.

It's kind of a pet peeve of mine when people say "restored" but really they mean painted lol.

This guy is killing me! He posted this '73 K30 four months ago for $9500. Now it's relisted for $6500. Has a D60 up front, Cummins, np205, and a 4L80 trans. I want it but don't have room for two squares and would hate to give up the burb.

I'm guessing he's talking about Factory 2wd Blazer. Lots of people around here are taking 4x4 Blazers and making them 2wd Blazers. Making a killing on them.

Just saying DON'T EVER GET RID OF YOUR SUBURBAN. Unless you want to sell it to me, than by all means sell it, I'll come get it. LOL

Yeah, I still like the burb. Really don't see that many on the road anymore, I guess it's a combination of the fuel economy making them get driven less and the government crushing a bunch of 'em. Just really tired of sweating the emissions test every two years. 1975 and older don't have to deal with it, would be nice to avoid that hassle.

I am with you and would like to make some kind of ******* air pump into the exhaust for those tests. Ridiculous we have to fear these tests with 25 plus year old trucks. I mean there are few of us left, leave us the **** alone. I'm ready to start disconnecting the speedometer to keep the mileage under 5000 a year to make it exempt from testing but I hate not having my speed reading and messin up my maintenance without it.

I wish it were that easy. Cali requires testing even if it's zero miles per year. The only way out of it is registering a vehicle as non-operational and if you get caught driving one without tags the fine is hefty. I did get caught doing that once, I have a Honda CT90 I use for short runs to the hardware store. Tags and insurance are stupid expensive so I just run the risk since the store is just 3 minutes away. Well, I got a sheriff on my ass while riding down the street and of course the reds and blues came on immediately. Let me tell you, it's hard to play the innocent role when you're not wearing helmet as required by law, your driver's license is at home, and your tags are out of date by 35 years. (April of 1981) I was so busted it made me laugh. Well, I gave it a shot and told him the bike was rebuilt from a basket case and I just got it running that day. We were only a block from my house so he told me to push it home and not ride it again until it was legal. Cool leo, he could have nailed me to the wall but let me go with a verbal warning.
